The Lark Bozeman
Look out Bozeman, there's a new hip hotel in town. Located on the west end of Main Street and open for business as of just a few months ago, The Lark features 38 one-of-a-kind guestrooms thoughtfully crafted to bring you a truly local Montana experience. The hotel aesthetic reminds me very much of Basecamp Hotel in South Lake Tahoe--a kind of summer camp meets urban hipster vibe or as the original building plans described it, "an upcycled 1960s era motor lodge. " Situated right downtown within walking distance of all the funky shops and delicious restaurants along Main, The Lark replaced the old Imperial Inn--notorious for its, shall we say, seedy side. So, needless to say the new hotel is a most welcome upscale addition to the downtown scene. As you check in, the staff give you a super cute Field Journal in which to take notes on your Montana adventure, with coffee and snacks always available in the open air lobby (open air in summer only of course). For the more adventurous set, there is on site storage for your skis or bikes and for those that like to travel with Fido in tow (who doesn't!), the hotel set aside a few dog friendly rooms. What's even better than prime real estate, welcoming service, and nice rooms? The Victory Taco food truck right onsite, of course. Relax outside in the covered sitting area with wood-burning fireplace while sipping on a local brew and eating the most delicious tacos east of California--I highly recommend ordering The Fin. When finished, don't forget to go back for the huckleberry ice cream.
