KB Caféshop - Paris
After a morning spent wandering the streets of Montmartre, touring Sacré-Couer and admiring the portrait artists at Place du Tertre, be sure to wander down the steps towards Métro Pigalle and KB Caféshop (formerly Kooka Boora), where a pick me up espresso, cappuccino, flat white, pour over, or even a cold brew, all crafted by certified members of the Parisian barista revolution, are waiting for you. Located in the trendy neighborhood of SoPi, KB lives amongst the cafés, restaurants, and hip stores slowly replacing the old sex shops and girlie-bars. The café uses beans roasted in Berlin from The Barn, creating a consistently good brew. You may have originally come for the coffee but be sure to stay for the carrot cake (to die for!)--all pastries and other light meals on offer are homemade each day by resident chef Julie. On Sunday, head to KB for their delicious and ever changing brunch menu or keep on eye on their Facebook page for one of the weekend cupping workshops. KB is open Mon-Fri 7:30am (a rarity in Paris!) to 6:30pm; Sat-Sun 9:00am to 6:30pm.
