Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Clarion Hotel Sign Stockholm

Clarion Hotel Sign Stockholm

While the Clarion Hotel Sign may be the largest hotel in Stockholm, it feels quaint, warm, and welcoming. Located in the heart of the city within walking distance of Central Station and Arlanda Express, this is the perfect place to set up camp for exploring the city. The hotel gathers the best of Scandinavian design, from the granite and glass exterior by Gert Wingårdh to the Egg chairs, Wave couches and other classic furniture and photographs decorating the interior. After a day of wandering the cobblestone streets of Gamla Stan, visiting the Vasa Museum, and exploring everything  the fourteen islands of Stockholm have to offer, head upstairs to the Selma CitySpa to unwind with a glass of champagne in the heated rooftop pool or sauna and nibble on some freshly prepared sushi from Frida Ronge’s vRå. Downstairs, the always crowded American Table Brasserie and Bar by Marcus Samuelsson serves up American classics recreated using local ingredients--fitting for the Swedish chef who found huge popularity taking the same yet opposite concept to the U.S. Swedish breakfast ranks right behind Israel in my book and the Clarion Hotel Sign serves up a virtual smörgåsbord--numerous types of herring, cheese, meat, breads, cucumber, peppers, Swedish pancakes with whipped cream and lingonberries, and yogurt to name just a few of the items. And plenty of strong coffee to start your day off on the right foot.
